In French Polynesia there are so many sites and islands to visit, choosing where to go could prove daunting. All five major island groups have their own distinctive attractions and cultures. But while deciding where to go may be difficult, getting there is simple. Transportation abounds on Tahiti and Her Islands.
Le Truck
Climb aboard "Le Truck," and leave the driving to Tahiti's safe and efficient public bus operators. Destinations are posted atop each bus, which always commence and end their round trips at the public market. Though authorized stops are indicated by a blue sign with an illustration of "Le Truck," drivers usually can be flagged down just about anywhere. Please note: "Le Truck" does not offer tours around the island of Tahiti. For details, please consult your hotel.
Taxis
Taxicabs provide quick and easy transport around Tahiti for visitors. Look for an emblem of a blossom atop the cab, which indicates that the driver speaks some english. Through rates vary slightly, fares are displayed on computerized meters inside the cab.
Personalized Transportation
