Oaxaca - Night Life

In Oaxaca nightlife is perhaps a bit more subdued than other Mexican cities, but features a diversity that should satisfy the desires of most travelers. Discos, salsa clubs, jazz and piano bars, extravagant Guelaguetza shows combined with the many restaurants that feature live music are yours to enjoy in Oaxaca. 

There is enough entertainment located within the Centro Historico district that you should be able to satisfy of your needs without going too far. On almost any night you'll find live marimba, Andean music, or nouveau flamenco in the open-air cafes surrounding the zócalo. There are also plenty of discotheques playing salsa or rock.
