As the sun makes its golden way across the western sky, slipping into the Pacific Ocean, the sizzle you hear isn't the molten globe meeting cooling waters. It's the sound of the nightlife heating up in Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos for another evening of great entertainment and adventure. Starting the party on the beach is a great way to enjoy a cool beverage and people watch. Billygan's Island, Las Palmas, Mango Deck or The Office, all on Medano beach, are popular lively locations, but as the sun sets, it's time to experience all that Los Cabos nightlife has to offer. Whether your tastes are for a quiet evening of romance, fun times and party, live music, salsa dancing, lively jazz or deejay and dance entertainment, Los Cabos boasts a variety of nightlife, particularly in La Concepción, north of the Marina. Other popular venues include Squid Roe, a dance club, and Kokomo's, a contemporary music bar on the Boulevard Marina.

Da Giorgio is perched cliffside overlooking the arch and the bay and is more formal than most places in Los Cabos; you may want to dress up a bit. Sunset time is also splendid at Pitahayas Restaurant located in the Hacienda del Mar Resort at Cabo del Sol in the Corridor. Try a cocktail and Pacific Rim inspired appetizer on the romantic beachside patio. Further east, the Twin Dolphin and Cabo San Lucas hotels take you away to old Mexico with gracious hospitality and postcard perfect views. At the Cabo Real Resort, the intimate La Concha Beach Club is another good choice with an oceanfront setting so lovely you may want to stay for dinner. Also in the Corridor but closer to San José del Cabo, the La Paloma bar at the Hotel Palmilla has been a marvelous hideaway for sunset lovers and romantics.

And, don't forget to take that afternoon siesta. In Los Cabos the hottest times are happening well after midnight, and in some cases, the action doesn't stop until dawn.
