Huatulco has plenty of tasty treats to tease and delight your senses…
Naturally, you'll find seafood and Mexican specialties on every menu, but other cuisines ranging from Italian and Argentine to Japanese and French are available in Huatulco. Good regional dishes, such as chicken mole (prepared with a chocolate-based sauce) and tamales, are plentiful, too. Where you end up eating may well depend on the activities you choose for the day. The hotel district at Tangolunda probably has the best selection of restaurants for visitors. The dress is more formal at these establishments than in the rest of Huatulco. La Crucecita's restaurants (mostly on Plaza Principal) tend to be smaller and have more local flavor. In Santa Cruz, your choices include dining outside at a very informal palapa restaurant, at one of the hotel restaurants or at one of the new, upscale beachfront restaurants offering indoor and outdoor seating.
