Stunning Beaches
Stroll across soft white sands and gaze out across crystal clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean on Huatulco's beaches. Many of them have bars and restaurants on them, so you can spend time sun bathing, swimming, snorkelling... and return to a choice and variety of restaurants and bars to quench your thirst and provide great tasting 'fuel' to set you up for your afternoon's water activities!
One of the calmest, most beautiful beaches is in Bahía de San Agustín, a broad horseshoe of golden sand surrounded by beautiful rocky headlands.
Water Sports
• Snorkel & Scuba
If you're looking for coral reefs, this place is ideal, and equipment is also available for hire. Another attractive place for diving and observing octopuses, sea urchins and mollusks, apart from the ubiquitous fish, is Isla Blanca, midway between Bahía de Chahué and Bahía de Santa Cruz.
• Local Cruises
The bays and beaches are a main attraction in Huatulco, and there's no better way to see them than to take a cruise along the shore in the local area. Tours include stops at great places to swim and snorkel and some stop at local beaches for lunches comprising of fresh, locally caught fish and other seafood.
Adventure Tours
Huatulco is a great place to go if you're looking for an authentic adventure tour. The region offers a wealth of topography, areas of natural beauty, scenery and facilities that make adventure holidays around here an absolutely stunning experience.
Eco Tours
The surrounding mountains and jungle make Huatulco a great place from which to take Ecological Tours in the area. Going on a horseback or dune buggy ride is a good way to observe the local flora and fauna-much of the forest area is a natural reserve-or some of the bays that are slightly further afield where you can stop for a swim in the crystal-clear waters. Another attraction are the Río Copalita rapids.
Tennis
The area of Tangolunda has the best tennis facilities in the area. Most of the major hotels have tennis courts and there is a selection of tennis clubs as well.
Golf
The main golf course is at Tangolunda Bay, and is situated just off the coast. If you like golf, be sure to bring your clubs!
