The nightlife in Cozumel is "low key" as compared to its counterpart, yet there are some perfect ways to end the perfect days !
Though it is a very laid-back kind of place that may not seem to have much going for it after dark, little Cozumel still has some special surprises in store for you if you take a look around. For starters, there's wonderful live Mexican music everywhere, with Mariachis entertaining in the restaurants and playing for tips in the street, and an excellent Ballet Folkloric Troupe performing the traditional dances of Mexico and the Caribbean. Live tropical music is easy to find in many hotel lobbies.
If you are the kind who likes to unwind more quietly in a small and intimate place, try Babalu II across the street from Prima Pasta heading towards the water. This is a very friendly place offering jazz (no dancing) and it attracts more of a mellow local crowd. There are similar little clubs that tuck away here and there in town. Just listen for the music and you will find plenty of people trying to direct you into their place and offer you happy hours.
Most of the nightspots and dance clubs don't even start cranking until 11:00 p.m. The action routinely continues until the dawn's early light. On weekend evenings there are often fiestas staged at the Plaza (town square), available for free to tourists and locals alike. And if you'd like to make a couple of wagers, the Sports Bar is open from early morning till late at night, and you can bet on your favorite sport while you grab a bite to eat or inhale a few margaritas.
And finally, For a memorable, romantic evening, take a moonlit cruise out on the calm Caribbean Sea. Some of your best vacation moments may take place after the sun goes down.
