Acapulco is quite a wealthy town--part of it, at least--and there are plenty of upscale malls and boutiques. The two best malls, both indoors and both air-conditioned, are La Gran Plaza and Plaza Bahia. Both are located directly on La Costera, just west of Playa Condesa. Most shops are open Monday-Saturday 10-7. The main strip is along Avenida Costera Miguel Alemán from the Costa Club to El Presidente Hotel. The bustling Mercado Municipal is an experience in itself.
