Raratonga - Overview

The island of Rarotonga is approximately 32 kilometres in circumference and offers dramatic volcanic peaks and deep valleys, surrounded by reefs and safe lagoons.

The main town of Avarua has a great choice of restaurants, souvenir shops, duty free shops and a bank. The Cook Islands is also the home of the Black Pearl, you will find several shops in and around the Cook Islands selling these beautiful gems made into a variety of jewelry designs. Rarotonga has a variety of local visitor attractions including a Cultural Village where you can see many local traditions like dancing, fishing, carving and cooking.
